As you may very well know (or not) I’m a fan of Thai cuisine, and recently I was lucky enough to be able to try out a new Thai resto at Greenbelt 5.

From the same people who brought us Silk in Serendra, comes the Thai-mazing resto that is Simply Thai.

I’m a sucker for pad Thai and the pad Thai of Simply Thai has got to be the cutest and most delicious one I’ve tasted so far! While other Thai restos would just scramble and slice their eggs, Simply Thai goes the extra mile of the silk road by wrapping your pad Thai in a machiatto of egg perfection. Aaaah-mazing indeed.

Then there’s their chicken curry that is the most perfect blend of cream and spice. Loved every minute of soaking my rice in the creamy sauce and biting into those juicy chicken pieces and succulent eggplants. Yes, I just used the word ‘succulent’. It was that delicious.

So the next time you’re in the mood to Thai-up your day sans the Bangkok shopping and lady boys, try Simply Thai. You won’t regret it.

Other Thai Restaurants I’ve Tried:

Mango Tree Bistro

Pho Hoa

(fuh huh-ah) soup and harmony in Vietnamese

Remember that little post I made on Mango Tree Bistro? Remember how I loved their pad thai? Yes? Good. No? Read it.

So I tried another restaurant serving Thai/Vietnamese food. Treated the parentals to it just because they were bugging me. So I gave in. And I wanted to eat pad thai as well.

So we tried Pho Hoa at the Lower Ground Floor of SM City Fairview Annex. Service was something to be desired as the people were a bit slow and unattentive, food was good but not as spectacular as the ones I tasted from Mango Tree.

I ordered their Pandan Chicken which was thankfully just the right amount of juicy and crunchy as most Pandan Chicken tend to be dry.

Of course we also tried their Pad Thai. Mom thinks it’s good, but I know better. Mango Tree’s was better. Better presentation, better taste. But it was also ok.
